Erica Sosna
Erica is an associate of Abbeville Associates Ltd. During 2005 as project Manager
(Equality and Diversity), University of Westminster, Erica was responsible for:
Design, development and implementation of the Equality Impact Assessment process
Providing briefing, guidance and facilitation for impact assessment teams
Reporting back on results and making recommendations
As Equality and Diversity Adviser for the University of Brighton, Erica devised and
implemented policy in relation to E&D issues, advised the Vice- Chancellors on
implementation and best practice in relation to Equalities legislation. She also gained
experience in:
Devising and implementing Impact Assessment processes, tools and training
Consulting with minority staff
Project managing the equalities benchmarking Review across the University
Addressing cultural change in relation to work/life balance, diversity as a strategic
issue and decision making/information flow processes.
Consultancy work includes research and support to public sector employers in the
areas of:
Equality and Diversity,
Improving working practice and work life balance;
Change management and
Legislative advice and support including the sharing of best practice
Erica has particular expertise in audits, Training Needs Analysis and Impact
Assessment, and is very experienced in:
Conducting one to one interviews, focus groups and surveys
Consultancy - e.g. work life balance, becoming an employer of choice
Report writing and making recommendations
Developing, delivering and evaluating training in equality and diversity
Erica has an MA degree in Social History and Politics from Edinburgh University and
a PRINCE 2 Project Management qualification. She is a qualified Life Coach and an
accomplished biographical storyteller and musician. In 2004 she completed a run of
one-woman storytelling shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
